Weszeli Eden Rose

Made from grapes harvested from organic farmed vines in Schöntal, Kamptal, this wine is a cuvée of Zweigelt and Cabernet Franc. Anyone who sees the Schöntal vineyard knows why its name means “Eden”. The area is blocked from the north by an acacia forest, which shields the vines from cool weather. Amongst the vines grows an ideal polyculture of wild flowers and lush shrubs. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented spontaneously with natural yeasts. 65% of the juice is rested on the skins overnight to draw out a delicate pale pink hue. Aged 5 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks, the wine is a fresh and vital expression of the grape varieties. Fruity aromas are complemented by a dry palate of wild raspberries, pink grapefruit, herbs, and citrus zest.
