A departure from the deeply robust Cabernet common to warmer regions like the Napa Valley, the Fielding Long Weekend Cabernet is happy-go-lucky. Ruby red in appearance, the nose presents plump aromas of fresh prunes, black cherries, raspberry and milk chocolate. The medium bodied palate is round with smooth tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is fruity and mellow. We think this is a great pairing for barbecued smokies on a sunny summer day.
