Edmonton’s Strathcona Spirits takes a wonderfully sideways approach with Chaga Mushrum Rye. Canadian rye and Jamaican rum meet wild-foraged chaga and wood-fired maple syrup, bringing together earthy mushroom, rye spice and smoky sweetness. The chaga comes from east of Edmonton and the Crowsnest Pass; the maple syrup comes from the shores of Lake Huron.
