*Pick up orders are available next day for pick up‘Materia Prima’ is one of Parés Baltà's newest releases. The wine was made from biodynamically grown Xarel-lo harvested from 40 year old vines. Gewürztraminer skins were blended in for added aromatic complexity. Skin maceration lasted 2 months and the wine was naturally fermented and settled in a stainless steel tank before light filtration.
In the glass this wine is medium tangerine orange in hue with slight sediment. On the nose you find lifted aromas of clementine, grapefruit peel, pomelo and orange blossom. Soft fuzzy tannins on the medium bodied palate are complemented by sharp acidity and refreshing citrus fruit flavors. A friendly style of orange wine, the finish is softly bitter and crisp.
