Oveja Tinta Graciano Malbec Organico

The Oveja series of wines represents the experimental efforts of Bodegas Fontana. The cuvée is made from the wine of a single fermentation tank, and from year to year the blend is different. This vintage was made from an unusual blend of Graciano and Malbec harvested from sustainably farmed estate vineyards in Cuenca. Oenologist Tomás Buendia and Master of Wine Sam Harrop use uncomplicated vinification methods to maintain fruit transparency. A plush wine with a deep ruby red color, on the nose you find generous aromas of blueberry, mulberry, violet, and dark chocolate. The medium bodied palate is moderately tannic and lingering. The Oveja Tinta is a real crowd pleaser and a great match for rack of lamb.
