Marnes Blanches "White Rabbit" Jacquere
These classically styled whites are a little more serious and structured than their counterparts. Look for classics like White Burgundy, Austrian Gruner Veltliner, Loire Valley Chenin Blanc and more, as well as contemporary options from around the globe.
"Domaine des Marnes Blanche was started by Pauline & Géraud Fromont when they were in their early twenties. Barely out of winemaking school, the couple purchased land in Cesancey, a town in the Southern Jura. Named after the area’s most illustrious soil type, they made a wide variety of styles: from ouillé Chardonnay’s to oxidative Savagnins, and lithe reds from autochthonous varieties.
This side project was started by Géraud after several incredibly small harvests in the Jura. He sources organic grapes from his friends in other regions and vinifies them into playful wines. This cuvée is made from Jacquère grown in Savoie on yellow marls. The grapes were whole cluster pressed into concrete egg for fermentation and a ten-month élevage." - Juice Imports
