*Pick up orders are available next day for pick upFounded in 2006 by Stephanie & Brian Terrizzi, Broadside is today managed by winemaker Adam LaZarre. LaZarra, a navy veteran who developed a love for wine while being stationed overseas, joined the Broadside team in 2013. A graduate of the viticulture program at Fresno State, he collaborates with a series of like-minded grape growers to obtain the best grapes possible.
The blend for this wine includes 86% Merlot and 14% Petit Sirah
Now is a great time to rediscover fruit-forward Californian Merlot. Dark ruby red in the glass, on the nose you find robust aromas of red plum, black cherry compote, Dr.Pepper, cocoa and vanilla bean. On the medium-full bodied palate velvety tannins are balanced by moderate acidity and lush black fruit flavors. Notes of clove and baking spice on the smooth finish round things out nicely. It makes a great pairing for grilled lamb.
