Passed down from father to son for five generations, the estate is today owned by Jean-Noël Sambardier and his wife. Winemaking is overseen by Damien Sambardier. Altogether the winery has around 34 hectares planted to vine that are separated over 50 plots. This includes holdings in the Crus of Brouilly, Julienas, Moulin à Vent and Fleurie. Distinct for the area, the average age of their vines ranges from 50 to 100 years old.
The Manoir du Carra Coteaux Bourgignon is made from a blend of 60% Gamay and 40% Pinot Noir harvested from vineyards in the “climats” of the Beaujolais – Mâcon area. This is how the winery describes this light bodied red - "Red ruby color with purple reflects. Fruity aromas with notes of small cherries, kirsch, liquorice and spicy notes. It is a smooth, easy-drinking harmonious wine"
