But more than anything, Marie Chartier-Luneau is one of the best evangelists of the potential of Muscadet to evolve and grow into a great wine—as good as the finest Chablis. This is why, when she starts talking about their cellarful of back vintages of L d'Or, she pauses: "Just wait. Someday it li be priced like Raveneau." The deal lover in me hopes not, since the Luneau-Papin wines remain some of the best values in France, considering their astonishing quality." - Jon Bonné, The New French Wine
"Something about the Vera Cruz's unique soils seems to create these alluring notes of white chocolate, quince, and nashi pear in the wine, supplemented with a faint note of white musk that draws you deeper into the glass. On the palate the wine is richer and rounder than expected with more body at 13% than the majority of Luneau Papin's wines, the flavour profile still wound tight with a ton of promise for the patient cellar keeper — at this age you find a wound up core of nashi pear and lemon with a fresh bread finish that rings long on the pallet. This is a terrific wine that deeply intrigues and wants to breathe, warm, transform — or better yet, age quietly in a cool dark place for another 10 years. Huge potential here. A very rich rendition of Muscadet." - Vino al Vino
