This aromatic white wine comes from one of Italy’s smallest wine regions. Known as the “Italian Riviera”, Liguria is a narrow coastal strip that lies between the Ligurian Sea and the Maritime Alps and the Apennines. An area with little cultivable land, most of Liguria’s wines are consumed locally. Owned by the Bosoni family, Cantine Lunae is one of the few Ligurian producers that has a presence in international markets. Based in the eastern Ligurian appellation of Colli di Luni, the winery is renowned for its Vermentino dominated wines. A wonderful match for Liguria’s exceptional seafood driven cuisine, Vermentino is known for its balanced acidity and minerality. For the Labianca, Cantine Lunae added 20% Malvasia to the blend to boost the wine's aromatics. Aged on the fine lees for 4 months in steel tanks, it displays tropical notes of passionfruit, mango, and white peach.
