*Pick up orders are available next day for pick upIn this Saint-Joseph , you will find what Jean-Luc Colombo himself defines as the ultimate expression of Syrah and granite. The former, the only grape variety used in this wine, comes from old vines that express its very essence . The latter dominates the appellation's terroir, with its steep, granite terraces bordered by oak trees, a tree that thrives in silica.
After a manual harvest, the grapes are destemmed and vinified under controlled temperature. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels – 15% new and the rest one to four years old.
The result is a Saint-Joseph with aromas of violet and redcurrant, along with spice, fine yet present tannins, and great aromatic persistence . It should be cellared for a few years to develop further and enjoyed within 10 years.
