Located in the small village of Arlay, Jean Francois and Jean Phillipe Bourdy are the 15th generation to make wine at the 500 year old cellars. Known for their astonishing wine library and cellar program which has wines from almost every vintage back to 1781, they continue to make wine the old fashioned way. Blessed with fruit from some of the best terroir in the Jura, they use 80 year old barrels for fermentation and aging, believing that patient and meticulous winemaking results in wines that thoroughly express the land on which it is grown.
A Pinot Noir rose, this wine is rested on its skins following the initial press for three weeks before being fermented and rested in stainless steel. With the strawberry hue and savoury aromatics, this is a rose for the frozen Canadian winters.
