The domaine is today managed by 13th generation winemaker Étienne Hugel. His uncle Jean Hugel was a leading force in resurrecting the Alsatian wine trade after the devastation of World War II. Hugel & Fils hold slightly over 25 hectares, all located around Riquewihr and almost half in vineyards allowed the Alsace Grand Cru designation.
