Longaví wines is a collaborative project between Chilean born Julio Bouchon, and South African born David Nieuwoudt. Julio is a journalist by profession, while David is the owner and oenologist of Cederberg winery. Their focus is on vineyards located in the south of Chile, where many old, ungrafted vines may still be found. Having started out in 2012, their appreciation of less glamorous grape varieties has put them in contrast to Chile's larger producers, which favor clear-cut international wine styles.

This is a wine with lovely purity and verve. Bright purple red in appearance, on the nose fresh aromas of cherry nibs, sweet raspberry and haskap are complemented by notes of bacon and clove. The medium bodied palate has fine grained tannins, medium-high acidity, and tender red fruit flavors. On the finish the wine is dry with good length.
