An ode to ‘luncheon claret’, the ‘Mother’s Ruin’ is a bold yet balanced expression of McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep crimson red in the glass, on the nose you find succulent aromas of red currant, black cherry, camphor, mint and dark chocolate. The palate is medium-plus bodied with firm tannins and moderate acidity. The fruit flavors are ripe but far from over-extracted. Subtle baking spice lingers on the finish.
