Best known for his Spanish sparkling wines from Raventós i Blanc in Conca del Riu Anoia, he wanted a property where he could focus on completely natural processes and materials.
The Can Sumoi vineyards lie in the heart of Penedes and have grown grapes since 1645. They are isolated on a terrace surrounded by mountain ranges on two sides and the sea on one side. Pepe farms them organically and biodynamically and he adds no sulphur
"When someone uses the adjective fresh to define a wine, we often imagine a summer evening, an outdoor terrace, an aperitif before dinner and a glass of white wine that refreshes us in the afternoon.
