Brigaldara Soave

Owned by Stefano Cesari, the Brigaldara winery is located near the village of San Floriano in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone. The property spans 120 hectares, of which 47 hectares are planted to vine. There are 2 hectares of vineyards planted to Garganega, which have been in Cesari’s family since 1927.

Although the rules allow winemakers to include up to 30% Chardonnay or Trebbiano di Soave, the Brigaldara Soave is made from Garganega harvested from the Marcellise vineyard. The grapes were partially frozen to preserve the natural aromas and flavours of the grape and prevent oxidation. Fermentation and ageing was in stainless steel tanks.
