Join Keaton (@bottlesintransit) for a blind tasting of Red Burgundy, where he'll break down this iconic, often intimidating region in laid-back, no-pressure terms. Burgundy might be known for its high price tags and complex terroirs, but this tasting is all about fun, flavour, and a little friendly competition!

Keaton will kick things off with a quick intro to Burgundy—what to look for in each classification, how to spot quality, and why Burgundy wines have the wine world buzzing. 

Then, we’ll dive straight into the tasting. Try different wines, share your notes, and guess the classification and price of each bottle—the winner will walk away with a prize. Bring your palate and best guesses, and prepare to taste Burgundy like we mean it!

While Keaton may not have a fancy sommelier diploma, he’s learned the art of wine the old-fashioned way—on a student budget, buried in wine books, and absorbing hours of lectures on the science of taste. As one of the masterminds behind our wine selection, Keaton makes sure there’s something for every palate—no snobbery, just great bottles. He’s on a mission to make wine culture in Edmonton fun and relaxed, reminding everyone that wine is meant to be enjoyed, not overanalyzed (though that can be fun, too!).

*This tasting will take place at our Edmonton location at 10961 124 Street on Monday, January 13, and will include a selection of cheese and charcuterie from our friends at The Italian Center. Due to the high demand and limited space for our tastings, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another guest if you’re unable to join us, but we do not offer refunds for our tastings.
