Inspired by early Nova Scotian grape growers, the two former lawyers found early success with their world class sparkling wines. Today the winery is managed by Gerry and Dara’s twin daughters Ashley and Devon McConnell-Gordon. Leading the cellar team since 2008, head winemaker Jean-Benoit Deslauriers is a firm believer in the role of regenerative farming and low-intervention winemaking practices.
In the glass this wine is garnet red in color with medium depth. On the nose you find piquant aromas of morello cherry, wild blackcurrant, blackberry, grilled green pepper, bay leaf and smoke. The palate is light-medium in body with soft tannins, moderate acidity and redfruit flavors. Savoury spiciness lingers on the finish.
