Today the winery is managed by Argiano’s CEO & Winemaker, Bernardino Sani, who works out of the historic villa. The 120 hectares of organically farmed vineyards sit 1,000 feet above the surrounding Tuscan countryside. Ideal for growing Sangiovese, the limestone, clay and gravel soils are also hospitable to international grapes such as Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Syrah.
The name of this wine comes from the Argiano family crest - ‘Non Confunditur’ translated means ‘unique’. It is a classic Super-Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sangiovese harvested from 15 to 20 year old vines. Fermented separately by varietal, the wine was aged in second and third use barriques and tonneaux. Accessible and savory, this medium-bodied red wine displays rich aromas of red plums, sour cherries, wild red berries, and espresso beans.
