Jobard is one of the great Meursault estates, with Antoine Jobard continuing the fine work of his father Francois since inheriting the domaine, whose history of five family generations began in 1860.

Antoine, the only son (he has two sisters though), joined his father François at the domaine in 2002, and took full responsibility in 2007 after the retirement of his father. This 4.8 hectares domaine owns a stunning lineup of vineyards, mostly in the commune of Meursault including 6 cuvees – two villages and four premier crus including important holdings in Charmes, Porusots and Genevrieres. Antoine ‘s main philosophy is that the most important part of the work is done in the vineyards. The wine making is traditional with up to 20% use of new oak, and standard bariques are in use. The wines are aged for a longer than common period of 18-24 months. The resulting wines are classic, mineral & complex Meursaults that are famous for their long bottle aging potential.

Today, the domaine farms around seven hectares of Chardonnay vines, mostly in Meursault. The high quality Meursaults that still dominate the production today are made in a classic style and are known to have excellent bottle-aging potential. The total production is around 2,000 cases per year.
