In 1997, childhood friends Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collovray, already co-owners of Domaine des Deux Roches in Mâcon, ventured south and purchased a remote estate 50 kilometers from Carcassonne. They renamed it Château d’Antugnac, honoring the nearby village. Today, joined by their sons, Julien Collovray and Pierre-Alexis Terrier, the family manages 100 hectares of vineyards, woods, and surrounding land.

Made from a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Franc (plus a small amount of Cinsault and Malbec), the Origines Rouge is a laid-back, bistro-style red with a ruby color and fresh, fruity aromas. Think black plums, dark cherries, a bit of grilled red pepper, and a hint of tobacco. It’s medium-bodied, juicy, and super easy to drink, with a smooth feel and a little herbal kick at the end.
