Choosing to plant their vineyards where before there were none, since the beginning Alpamanta’s vineyards have been farmed according to organic principles. The 35 hectares have never seen pesticides, fungicides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers. Sheep, horses and hens roam freely around the property. In recognition of their efforts, Alpamanta became the first biodynamic certified winery in Mendoza in 2010.
The Alpamanta Natal Petit Verdot is an inky and plush red wine. Dark ruby red in color, on the nose you find deep aromas of black plum, blackberry jam, kirsch, star anise and violet. The palate is medium-full bodied with mouth filling tannins, moderate acidity, and lavish black fruit flavors. The finish is fruity and softly spicy. This is absolutely the kind of wine you serve with traditional Argentine Asado.
