We love the Pogues (can you think of a more iconic song than Fairytale of New York?). Lucky for us (and you!) we got our hands on a good supply of The Pogues Irish Whiskey (regularly priced $46.40 - now on sale for $38.95) just in time for all your St. Paddy’s celebrations. Like The Pogues this Irish Whiskey is fun, boozy, and a little rough around the edges. The Pogues Irish Whiskey is a blend of 50% 10 year old single malt aged in sherry wood casks and 7 year old whiskey in bourbon oak casks while the other 50% is 4 year old Irish grain whiskey aged in bourbon oak casks. The whiskey was created by master distiller Frank McHardy and Barry Walsh at West Cork Distillers, the most southerly disillery on the Atlantic and only distillery in Ireland to do 100% of their own malting. The whiskey has a bit of sweetness on the palate, with flavours of treacle, toasted nuts, and peachy fruit.
