Celebrating and supporting Pride has always been important to us at Vine Arts. This year we will be donating to Camp fYrefly in honour of Calgary's Pride celebrations. We've long admired Camp fYrefly, which is a leadership retreat for queer and trans youth aging 14-24. We created a fun cocktail to help celebrate Calgary Pride! Love is Blind is a refreshing cocktail that blends the vibrant flavours of blackberry and basil with a refreshing touch of rosé. A splash of falernum helps to add a hint of spice along with luscious texture. It is the perfect sipper to celebrate love, laughter, friendship, and pride. Check out the recipe below:
Love is Blind
2 oz Tanqueray Gin 1/2 oz Dry Rosé Wine (we used Whispering Angel) 1/2 oz Falernum (we used Shameful Tiki Room Falernum Syrup) 3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice 3 blackberries 5 basil leaves Place the blackberries and basil leaves in the bottom of a shaker tin. Muddle them together until combined. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker, and fill with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Double strain into a wine glass. Fill with ice, garnish with a basil leaf and enjoy! |
