High Time for Good Whiskey

Founded on a spark of inspiration during a 2001 visit to Maker’s Mark Distillery, biochemist David Perkins realized the parallels between distilling and his own field, and set out to build a whiskey distillery of his own. By 2006, he and his wife Jane had relocated to Park City and launched High West Distillery in a small historic stable. What began as a modest operation has grown into one of the most distinctive names in American whiskey, producing everything from bourbon and rye to cult favourites like A Midwinter Night’s Dram, all while helping revive distilling in Utah as the state’s first legal operation since Prohibition!
