A new vintage of Grosgrain Vineyards just dropped! Grosgrain holds a special place on our shelves and in our hearts! Last summer, a few members of the Vine Arts team visited their stunning Walla Walla estate, met winemaker Matt Austin, and tasted through their lineup. It’s safe to say we were instantly and irreversibly hooked! With a focus on organic farming and fresh, elegant wines made from unexpected varietals like Albariño, Aglianico, and Grenache, Grosgrain is redefining the region’s style. We’re thrilled to be the exclusive Alberta supplier offering their latest vintage!

Grosgrain Vineyards is one of the most exciting producers from the Pacific Northwest. Owned by Matt and Kelly Austin, this small Walla Walla estate champions underdog grapes, sparkling wines, restrained reds, and sustainable farming.

The journey began in 2014, when Matt and Kelly left careers in law and fashion to pursue winemaking. Matt returned to school for enology and worked at several Washington wineries before the couple discovered a 2-hectare vineyard that became Grosgrain Vineyard. Since then, they’ve expanded the estate to 32 hectares and acquired the 2-hectare Old Milton Vineyard. In addition to their vineyards, Grosgrain collaborates with some of the region’s finest grape growers to extend their reach.

Albariño

100% Albariño

Sourced from the tiny Phillips Vineyard, just south of the winery and a stone's throw from the Oregon border, this wine was aged on its lees for five months, mainly in a clay egg. Bright and fresh, it offers notes of Asian pear and honeysuckle with a burst of minerality. The previous vintage was our best seller from the first Grosgrain shipment, and after tasting this release, we have no doubts y'all will love this year's offering!

Tout le Temps

72% Grenache Blanc and 18% Vermentino

This cuvée was a first for Matt, crafted specifically for late patio lunches. Tout le Temps bursts with notes of slate, lemon zest, and pear with just a touch of herbaceousness on the finish. It’s the perfect wine for anyone planning homemade pizza, ceviche, or even just a big 'ol bag of chips.

Lemberger Pet Nat

100% Lemberger

Lemberger (aka Blaufränkisch or Kekfrankos) is an unusual choice for a Washington wine. The grapes come from old vines at Kiona Vineyards in the Red Mountain AVA, an arid region averaging just six inches of annual rainfall. This sparkling rosé was fermented cool in stainless steel and bottled mid-fermentation to capture the natural carbonation as fermentation finished in the bottle. Rose-gold in colour, it features persistent bubbles with aromas of strawberry, lychee, orange pith, and white flowers. Yum!

Columbia Valley Grenache

100% Grenache

An absolute showstopper! A blend of fruit from three vineyards: Red Heaven on Red Mountain, Seven Hills, and XL Vineyard in Walla Walla Valley. Cool fermentation preserves bright fruit and fresh acidity; this wine is a pure expression of Washington Grenache’s vibrancy and drinkability, with red currant, strawberry, orange peel, and herbs de Provence flavours.
