Fritz Roter Veltliner

Roter  Veltliner (not to be confused with the more widespread Gruner Veltliner) is a pink skinned grape that is thought to be the parent grape of the Veltliner family. Roter Veltliner represents only 0.4% of Austria’s grape planting, but when grown in  the right areas it has the potential to produce powerful, complex white wines. Wagram is one of the best regions for Roter  Veltliner due to its more temperate climate and deep loess soils. This wine is part of the Josef Fritz limited series and  spends time in neutral oak casks to build even greater depth.
