Located in Parnay, Château Yvonne has been surrounded by vineyards since the middle ages. The current structure dates back to the 16th century. The property was purchased in 2007 by Matthieu Vallée, who decided to keep the name Château Yvonne in recognition of the previous owner (Yvonne Lamunières). 11 hectares of vineyards are separated into 28 small plots. Matthieu produces only 2000 cases of wine a year.
This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Franc hand-harvested from organic and biodynamic farmed 15-50 year old vines in the village of Champigny. It was fermented with natural yeasts and aged for 12 months in 38 hl foudre and 4-5 year old barriques
