Weingut Peter Lauer 1992 Sekt Sparkling (Disgorged 2021)

This incredible sparkling wine was aged almost 30 years on the lees before leaving the cellar! Made from Riesling grapes harvested from Peter Lauer's vineyards on the hillside of the Ayler Kupp, it was fermented méthode traditionnelle and hand riddled. Disgorged in July 2021, it received no final dosage. After spending over a quarter of a century ageing, this wine is a tapestry of mature and earthy aromas, juxtaposed by saline minerality and fine citrus flavours.
