Vigneti Vumbaca Cirò Bianco

At the forefront of Cirò’s burgeoning wine renaissance, Vigneti Vumbaca is one of the most exciting wine projects in Italy today. As a member of the artisanal wine movement Cirò Revolution, owner Christian Vumbaca works to uplift this often overlooked historic wine zone. His Cirò Bianco is made from the region's most prominent white grape, Greco Bianco. Although this variety is often used for sweet wine styles, the Vumbaca Cirò Bianco is refreshingly bone dry. In the glass the wine is straw yellow in color with green inflections. Aromas of lemon, white peach, wild flowers, almond and sea spray on the nose are well balanced by lip-smacking acidity and textural minerality on the medium bodied palate. A direct flight to the blue shores of the Mediterranean Sea, this wine is magic with pan seared branzino.
