Lapis Luna Limited Reserve Red Blend
A new release from Lapis Luna owners Drew Stapp and Andrew Nelson, the Limited Reserve Red Blend is a robust wine made from 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Petit Verdot, 15% Merlot, 14% Petite Sirah, and 1% Tannat. Harvested from vineyards in Lodi, San Juan Creek, and Paso Roble, part of the blend was fermented in oak barrels for added mouthfeel and tannins. For added complexity, the wine was aged 10 months on fine lees in a combination of 85% new French and 15% neutral oak barrels. Dark and brooding, the Limited Reserve Red Blend packs a lot of punch. Full bodied with velvety texture, the palate has concentrated notes of blackberries, blueberries, and dark chocolate. A great wine for steak!
