Lancelot Pienne Rose Delice
Representing the fourth generation to manage Lancelot-Pienne , Gilles Lancelot is a trained oenologist, who farms eight hectares, half of which are in Cramant, the other half in the Vallée de la Marne. Gilles has introduced some unique ideas to the family business: relatively late picking, low dosage and several interesting innovations, such as the use of a Solera in one or two of its senior wines.
This is how the winery describes the Rose Délice - "A gorgeous pink hue for a cuvée to be primarily enjoyed with the eye. Champagne and red fruits are happily married and will in turn bring your senses to life. Winemaking is in the typical champenois style, a subtle mix of champagne red wine (8 to 10% pure Bouzy) and one of our blended cuvées. Traditional vinification was carried out in the same way as the other cuvées on the estate. Blend of 2017 base wines from the 3 champagne varieties (70%) and 30% long term reserves (now aged 18 years)"
