The journey to create Grosgrain began in 2014 when Matt and Kelly left their previous careers in law and fashion to pursue winemaking. For Matt this meant going back to school to study enology and spending a few years working for several Washington wineries. Eventually they came across a 2 hectare vineyard that would become Grosgrain Vineyard. Matt and Kelly would eventually develop the vineyard to 32 hectares and would also acquire the 2 hectare Old Milton Vineyard.
