Named after Jean-Baptiste de Cibon, a captain in the royal marines of Louis XVI, Clos Cibonne is one of the great domaines of Provence. Managed by Olivier Deforges, the winery produces traditional wines from the rare Tibouren grape variety. Produced in small numbers, these wines are keenly sought out the world round.

This is the house flagship, made from 90% Tibouren and 10% Grenache. This is mainly from younger vines. The Grenache is there to comply with AOP rules, or else this would be 100% Tibouren. The nose is full with a hint of redcurrant. The palate, brisk and detailed with a sappy edge, a hint of cream, and notes of strawberries, cherries and red currants.
