Wine Guide

This Rioja winery was created by Roberto Olivan in 2011. Working with 22 parcels of high elevation organically farmed vines spread across the foothills of the Cantabrian mountains, Roberto bottles wines using natural yeast fermentations, low sulphur, and traditional barrel ageing.

The name of this wine comes from the Spanish word for the sound of the ringing of the bells that alert grape growers of expected hailstorms. Made from a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Viura, this red wine is purplish red in the glass and displays smoky notes of bright red cherries, red plums, and leather.
