“Our first small batch release is called GREENHORN. As this is our first entrance into whisky, we felt this name was more than appropriate. The whisky was produced drawing inspiration from American straight rye whiskies that are big, bold, and spicy; rather than the traditional mild Canadian rye whiskies we predominantly see on the market today. Greenhorn was distilled using our HRBM mash bill consisting of 51% rye, 37% corn, and 12% malted barley. It was then matured in new American oak casks for a minimum of 4yrs, before being finished in Colombian rum casks. Bottled at a warm and toasty 59.1%, Greenhorn has notes of baking spice with a softened underbelly of caramel, molasses, and apple, with BOLD oak finale.” – Willibald Farm Distillery
