Talo Negroamaro Salento IGP
$24.51
Valued for its deep intensity and earthen tones, Negroamaro has been grown in Puglia for at least 1500 years. Resistant to drought, it’s well suited to the hot climate of the Salento Peninsula. The fruit for this wine was harvested in mid-September and fermented in a thermo-controlled tank for 10 days. Aging was done in French oak barrels for 4 to 6 months.
Deep red in appearance with inflections of purple, on the nose there are vivid aromas of ripe black cherry, prune, cinnamon and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and generously structured. Flavors of black currant and plum are paired with moutfilling tannins. On the finish the wine is dry and spicy.
