Domaine Stéphane Magnien is a small winery located in the Burgundian village of Morey Saint Denis. Spanning 4.5 hectares, the vineyards are mostly planted to the old ‘Pinot tordu’, which is less vigorous than modern Pinot Noir clones and is said to make wines with greater finesse. The vines have never seen pesticides and are tended entirely by hand. In the cellar Stéphane uses a discreet amount of oak ageing and fully destems his grapes to craft wines with elegance and refinement.
The Domaine Stéphane Magnien Morey Saint Denis “Grains Fins” is made from grapes harvested from 2 plots of young vines planted to a selection of Pinot Fins. Fermented with natural yeasts and aged 12 months in 15% new oak barrels, this wine has delicate complexity and fine strawberry and red currant flavours.
