Description
Domaine Stéphane Magnien is a small winery located in the Burgundian village of Morey Saint Denis. Spanning 4.5 hectares, the vineyards are mostly planted to the old ‘Pinot tordu’, which is less vigorous than modern Pinot Noir clones and is said to make wines with greater finesse. The vines have never seen pesticides and are tended entirely by hand. In the cellar Stéphane uses a discreet amount of oak ageing and fully destems his grapes to craft wines with elegance and refinement.
The Domaine Stéphane Magnien Coteaux Bourguignons is made from an equal blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay harvested from 2 plots of vines in Morey Saint Denis. Fermented with natural yeasts and aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks and barriques, this light bodied red wine displays floral notes of black currant and bright red fruits.
