Dark ruby red in the glass, on the nose the Regateiro Jr Red exhibits earthy aromas of black currant, blackberry, tobacco, and forest floor. The medium-full bodied palate is robustly structured with chewy tannins. Piquant dried cherry and pomegranate flavors are lifted by smoky minerality and tidy acidity. The unoaked finish has a pleasing dash of anise and liquorice spice.
