Since 1958, Produttori del Barbaresco has been the reference point for classic Barbaresco. When the cooperative was founded by a parish priest, it was comprised of 19 grape growing families. It has since grown to 60 growers, who own the lion’s share of Barbaresco’s top vineyards. In lesser years, only one wine is made. In strong years there can be up to up to 10 unique wines, representing 9 crus. The managing director of the winery is Aldo Vacca.

The Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco is made from 100% Nebbiolo grape sourced from 54 growers. The wine was fermented for 30 days on the skins and aged 24 months in large oak casks.

It offers layers of aromatics woven together with tar, forested earth, dried cherry, and sweet tobacco. The palate is ripe and pure, with raspberry leather, tea leaf, and blood orange. It is mouth-filling, with fruit that is long and persistent, fine tannins, and a lifted finish.
