The Palmer Port brand is a tribute to Samuel Palmer, one of the founding members of the 17th century English Port trade. The brand was created by the van Zeller family. Descendants of Samuel Palmer, the van Zellers also own the Barao de Vilar, Maynard, and Feuerheerd Port houses.

The Palmer 30 Year tawny has a pronounced aroma intensity that is very rich with nuts and cigar box. There is further complexity of nutmeg and black pepper. On the palate the wine is very balanced between acidity and sweetness that gives a luxurious mouthfeel. Lovely richness of fruitcake, fig, caramel and toffee. This port has a lovely, rich long finish.
