Manoir De La Tete Pineau D’Aunis K’Sa

On the hill of Le Puy Notre Dame, a majestic eleventh century collegiate church overlooks the vineyard. Le Manoir de la Tête Rouge was built in 1649 at the foot of the hill. To give full expression to the different characteristics of these wines, all the vines are organically grown, and all the wines are made in line with sensible, traditional, and above all, sustainable agricultural practices.

Dressed in cherry, the typical varietal of Pineau D’aunis exudes black pepper. There are menthol notes of Sichuan pepper and white pepper on the nose. The palate is round with a strong but gourmet hint with distinct but light tannins, making it a very pleasant wine. The grapes are completely de-stemmed and maceration occurs in concrete vats for 12 days without yeast, without chaptalization and without additives. It is aged for 6 months in barrels and when bottled, 20mg of sulfur is added.
