Maison Louis Latour has been producing wine in the region of Burgundy for two centuries, although the Latour family have been growing grapes since the 17th century. A well known négociant-éléveur, the winery owns 50 hectares of vineyards. The majority of the vines are located in Aloxe-Corton, where Château Corton Grancey is based. This beautiful winery was built in 1834 and was the first purpose-built winery in France. Louis-Fabrice Latour is the 7th generation of his family to manage the business.
This red wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes which were harvested from 25 year old vines. Fermented traditionally in open top vats, it was matured for 10 to 12 months in stainless steel tanks.
