Plush and elegantly structured, the 2018 Enclos de Viaud is a gorgeous wine. Awarded a Platinum Medal and 97 points in the Decanter World Wine Awards, it delivers refined notes of blueberry, blackberry, lavender, tobacco and spice. Composed of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, the full bodied palate is layered with velvety tannins and balanced acidity. Enclos de Viaud has been owned by the Kwok family since 2012, and under their stewardship the 2.48 hectare Lalande-de-Pomerol estate has truly excelled. In the words of the International Wine Report, “this is a fantastic wine from this vintage to approach early on, but it also has the potential to cellar for close to a decade.”
