As described by the distillery – “Our El Dorado Single Still aged rums are a selection of pure single-distillate Demerara Rums, produced on some of our highly prized heritage stills, then aged in small batches. These individual marques, each possessing its own distinctive character, have traditionally been artfully blended to give soul to our El Dorado aged rums. Now they can be savoured in their purest form, unblended, to reveal their individually diverse and rich flavours.”

“The El Dorado Single Still Port Mourant Rum is produced from the Double Wooden Pot Still which is the only one of its kind in use today. Constructed in 1732 on the Port Mourant Estate, this still was later moved to the Uitvlugt Estate and then to Diamond Estate in 2000. Since then, the Double Wooden Pot Still has been producing small batches of this El Dorado Heritage Rum. This rum was laid down in oak barrels for 12 years.”
