Domaine de l’Enclos was officially launched by Romain and Damien Bouchard in 2018. The brothers grew up making wines with their father Pascal Bouchard. They started out by purchasing the tiny defunct estate, Domaine de la Grande Chaume, and made the wines in the corner of their fathers winery. When Pascal sold the winery the brothers decided to purchase a historic winery in the heart of Chablis, which gave them the opportunity for a fresh start. Today they organically farm 29 hectares of vines, which range in age from 30 to 50 years old. In 2017 they completed the building of a new winery situated beside the original chateau on the property. Although inspired by traditional winemaking, they employ the best modern techniques as well.

This Chardonnay is made from grapes harvested from the 1er Cru of Vau de Vay. Planted in 1981 on a steep slope, this site is one of the coolest terroirs in Chablis.
