Operated by the De Martino family for four generations, the De Martino winery was founded in 1934. The family immigrated to Chile from Italy. Today the business is managed by Marco Antonio and Sebastián De Martino. Winemaking is overseen by Marcelo Retamal and Eduardo Jordán. Over its history, De Martino has produced wines from 347 vineyards in 7 different wine regions. Altogether they hold 250 hectares of organically farmed vineyards.
The De Martino Gallardia is made from 100% Cinsault harvested from dry-farmed vines planted to granitic soils, some 22 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean. Fermented with natural yeasts, it was aged in stainless steel tanks.
