Bright ruby red in colour, the plummy nose has aromas of cassis, cherry licorice, black currant, and violet. The medium-full bodied palate is rich with lavish blackfruit flavours and supple tannins. Balanced acidity adds freshness, extending into a dry finish. A wine that can be enjoyed with or without food, it is a strong match for sweet and spicy, barbecued pork ribs.
